Sir John Johnson House National Historic Site

Sir John Johnson, a Loyalist leader, helped resettle refugees in Ontario after the American Revolution. Between 1784 and 1792, he built a home and mills along the Raisin River—one of Ontario’s oldest surviving residences and a symbol of early settlement.
